Yasuda tiles are traditional tiles that have a history dating back to the late Edo period. This is a hard and durable roof tile designed for cold regions that uses the "reduction firing method" in which it is fired at a high temperature of over 1,200 degrees, and has low water absorption, excellent insulation and cold resistance. MYK is manufactured in Agano City, Niigata Prefecture. It is the northernmost tile producing area in Japan, and continues to be used mainly in the snowy northern part of Japan due to its excellent quality and functionality. The uneven surface unique to Yasuda tiles gives it a beautiful shine, a grip that feels comfortable in the hand, and a sense of stability that comes from its unique moderate weight.
