Kyoto is located in a basin surrounded by beautiful mountains. Rainwater nourishes the green mountains and become a river that runs through the city. It also seeps deep into the ground to create a natural water vessel. This water nurtured the culture, the faiths, provision for the necessities of life, and industries in Kyoto. KYOTO BLUE is a brand originating in Kyoto based on the theme of water.
水に関連した4種の伝統柄を施したガーゼハンカチと、草木染めをベースに媒染剤を使わず植物本来の色を鮮やかに引き出す特許技術で4種の花から抽出した青で麻生地を染めました。
4 gauze handkerchiefs with 4 traditional patterns related to water, and botanically-dyed linen handkerchiefs dyed with shades of blue extracted from 4 kinds of flowers, using a patented technique based on botanical dye that does not require fixatives, and enhances the true colors of plants.
